3R - Nike AF1 High - Reduce, Reuse, Play Dirty

My semifinal entry for the Clash of the Customizers:

This pair goes out as an ode to one of my favorite brands, Undefeated. The upper outer panels feature the “strikeout” logo camo and is constructed from recycled vinyl tote bags that the company uses to pack purchased product from their retail stores. The inner panels are komodo dragon skin left over from a previous pair and a grey suede sockliner for ultimate comfort. Inspiration comes from everyone and everywhere and one man’s bag may be another man’s treasure.

3R - Tokidoki (Boy) Dunk Low

My homage (in a gentlemen’s version) to one of my favorite, innovative brands, Tokidoki. In 2006, I did a personal order in a girl’s version, and I had been working on this version since. The upper features a tokidoki camo print upper with candy apple glitter patent swooshes. The inner is lined with the same camo print and the sockliner is wrapper comfortably with red suede. Topped off with a stuffed tongue and an oversized heart-and-crossbones logo over both toeboxes, the tokidoki logo. This a a 1 of 1 for my personal collection and will not be reproduced. I decided to add on to the black/black with the namesake of the blog and here’s a look at the other one that is currently being worked on with the modifications:

Sekure D Globe’s in Orlando

I was running errands yesterday and it’s been a while since I had my “neck broken” so hard. I was driving to Joann’s and I saw some young hipster rocking my good friend Sekure D’s collaboration with Globe on a pair of Mace Hi’s. I just had to pull over and chat it up with the guy and let him know that Sekure D would be very gracious and appreciative. I forgot to get his name, but a big thanks to the guy for the chat and picture.

I asked where he had picked them up and ironically he pointed out the shop right across the way. I went in and checked it out and they had two pairs left; I left with one of them. It’s been since the LunarGlides since my last sneaker pick-up, almost 6 months, and wow did it feel good! I had almost forgotten what it felt like… almost.

2010 World Cup adidas Jerseys

Adidas must’ve been in my head while I was sleeping because it looks like they’ll be releasing my DREAM jerseys for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. (Coincidently, these tops would seaminglessly go with my newly released Whistler SG +’s)

After hours of browsing, from the initial heads up from my boy L V H, the only other source of information that I could find turned out to be a pretty good one: a catalog pic straight from adidas! Sources say that they’ll be available in Europe starting in January of 2010 though I highly doubt their availability considering how I’m sure they’ll want them to be seen first on the biggest stage in the world. I’ll pretty much do whatever I can to get my hands on all four kits as soon as I can so that I can wear them into the ground!

I’d never thought the day would could where I would be able to say this: these are the best looking referee jerseys EVER MADE.
